A young man climbs daunting Eagle Stone in the village of Baslow in Derbyshire, England. According to tradition, the local men had to climb atop the 19-foot-high block of gritstone to prove their manliness and fitness for marriage. It's definitely an uphill struggle because some of the higher parts of the stone overhang the lower parts.

For those not trying to win a young woman's hand, Eagle Stone is one of the many interesting rock formations found in Peak District National Park, regarded as England's most beautiful parks.
